News Annual Report 2024 – Together, We Made a Difference!

With pride and gratitude, we present our 2024 Annual Report.

This past year, we brought smiles to the faces of 489 children and their families, supporting them in taking steps toward a brighter future. We gave children a better self-image, created a sense of belonging and achieved more involvement in the various communities.

Niketan welcomed 68 new children and said farewell to 46 children. In total, we reached 2,413 family members across 175 villages.

2024 also marked a special milestone: the 25th anniversary of Niketan and DRRA. We celebrated with a three-day fair for our children and a trip to an amusement park for our staff and their families.

To further strengthen our child- and family-centered approach, we offered a range of training programs. We provided financial support to vulnerable families to start income-generating activities, and young people who completed our Right to Decide training program received funding to pursue their dreams.

Niketan also developed a monitoring tool to better track the progress of our children, as well as an educational video series on puberty to inform and empower our youth about their bodies and sexual health.

We are proud of our new collaboration with BRAC, through which we provided training to their staff and to students at the University of Dhaka.

In short, 2024 was a year full of growth, connection, and impact.
Thanks to your support, all of this was made possible. We look forward to continuing our shared mission in the coming years—building a more inclusive society for children with disabilities.
